“Love At First Stitch” Book

Look at what came all the way from the States to Ecuador in my parents luggage, just for me!  I am so excited about this book!  Its called “Love at First Stitch – Demystifying Dressmaking” by Tilly Walnes from Tilly and the Buttons.  I love her blog and style and she just came out with this new book that teaches you how to sew, from how to thread your machine to how to make a lined dress, all the while, making beautiful garments.

The book comes with 5 patterns and teaches you how to make 7 different garments plus different variations for each garment.

Each chapter focuses on one garment and only teaches you the techniques you need to know for that project.  As the projects get more detailed, you learn new techniques.  This gets you immediately sewing what you want to sew, garments!  I think it is genius.

This book is designed to help someone who is completely new to sewing, but even if you aren’t and have a lot of experience, you can still get this book for the patterns to make these adorable clothes.  I love the patterns in this book.  They have a 60’s feel to them but still are very modern.  The pictures in this book are absolutely amazing!  It is truly a gorgeous book and is so inspiring.

I obviously just got this book and have not read it completely yet but I am confident this is going to be a huge help for me.  I can’t wait to get into it!  Seriously you should get this book, you won’t regret it!
